Remodel Cam Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 29, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) describes how NexusBird, Inc. (“RemodelCam,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects Personal Information in connection with the RemodelCam mobile application (the “App”), the website at remodelcam.com (the “Site”), and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual or household. It does not include de-identified or aggregated information.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, you must not use any of the Services. If you change your mind in the future, you must stop using the Services and you may exercise your rights concerning your Personal Information as set out in this Policy.
2. Summary of Key Points
- The App records audio and takes photographs when you capture a room. We store this content on our servers to generate your designs, maintain your projects, and improve the Services.
- We use third-party artificial intelligence service providers to process this content.
- We disclose your contact information and project details to home improvement professionals when you submit a quote request.
- We may disclose certain information to advertising and analytics partners for advertising attribution, measurement, and optimization.
- You may delete your projects and account in the App and exercise the rights described below.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: your mobile telephone number, verified by a one-time code sent by text message.
- User Content: audio recordings of your voice made during a capture (“Recordings”), photographs taken during a capture or selected from your photo library (“Photographs”), and any other content you submit through the Services.
- Project Information: the room type, style, colors, and changes you select, type, dictate, or mark on a design.
- Property Address: the street address of the property where your project is located, which you type, select from address suggestions, or fill in from your device’s location.
- Quote Request Information: your first and last name, ZIP code, email address if provided, telephone number, responses to project questions, project description, and text message consent.
- Correspondence: your email address and the content of any message you send us.
3.2 Information We Generate
- Transcripts of your Recordings and the requests we derive from them.
- Designs, meaning images of proposed remodels generated from your Photographs, and the instructions used to generate them.
- Estimates of the cost of the work shown in a design.
3.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: device identifiers, App version, device model, and operating system.
- Usage and Log Information: the features you use; the dates, times, and duration of use; your IP address; and technical, error, and performance data recorded by our systems.
- Capture Information: the time each Photograph was taken and whether it was taken manually. Motion sensor data used to detect a steady camera is processed on your device and is not transmitted to us.
- Device Location: if you choose to fill in your Property Address from your current location and allow location access, the App uses your device’s location once to look up the street address at that location. We keep the resulting address, not your device’s location coordinates.
- Site Information: your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, interactions with the Site, and information associated with advertising attribution and measurement, which may include browser or advertising identifiers.
3.4 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from our service providers, advertising and analytics partners, home improvement professionals, and other third parties that provide services in connection with the Services.
3.5 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not store or track your device’s precise geolocation; we use it only as described in Section 3.3 to look up your Property Address when you choose. We do not collect payment card information or government identification numbers. We do not create or collect voiceprints, face geometry, or other biometric identifiers or biometric information. Recordings are used to transcribe and interpret what you say and provide the Services.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use Personal Information to:
- provide the Services, including selecting Photographs, transcribing and interpreting Recordings, generating designs and estimates, storing projects, and enabling sharing;
- estimate project costs for your property’s location and determine whether we and the home improvement professionals we work with can serve your property;
- verify your identity and maintain your account;
- connect you with home improvement professionals at your request;
- communicate with you about your projects, quote requests, and the Services;
- maintain and improve the Services, including by reviewing User Content, transcripts, and designs to evaluate result quality and correct errors;
- measure the effectiveness of our advertising, attribute conversions, and optimize our advertising campaigns;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents and enforce our terms; and
- comply with law and protect our rights and the rights of others.
5. Artificial Intelligence
We use third-party artificial intelligence service providers to process Photographs and Recordings on our behalf for purposes such as transcribing Recordings, interpreting your requests, selecting Photographs, and generating designs and estimates. We do not use User Content or transcripts to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence models.
Dictated edits may be converted to text using your device’s speech recognition or third-party speech recognition services.
Designs and estimates are generated using artificial intelligence for informational purposes only and may not reflect what can be built, what applicable codes permit, or actual project cost.
6. How We Disclose Your Information
We may disclose Personal Information as follows:
Service Providers. We disclose Personal Information to service providers that perform services on our behalf, including providers of cloud hosting and storage, artificial intelligence processing, mapping and address lookup, analytics and performance monitoring, communications and telephone verification, sign-in and account authentication, and other technology services necessary to operate the Services. For example, after you verify your telephone number, Google Firebase Authentication issues and refreshes the credential that keeps you signed in; it holds an account identifier we assign, not your telephone number. Address suggestions and the address lookup for your current location are provided by Apple Maps, which receives the text you type into the address search or your device’s location for that lookup.
Home Improvement Professionals, at Your Direction. When you submit a quote request, we may disclose your Quote Request Information, telephone number, Photographs, transcript, designs, and estimate to home improvement professionals that may be able to provide services for your project and to partners that help match homeowners with such professionals. They may contact you about your project, and their use of your Personal Information is governed by their own privacy practices. We may receive compensation if you engage a home improvement professional through RemodelCam.
Shared Links. Anyone with a share link you create can view the before and after images, room type, and style, but not your name, telephone number, ZIP code, Property Address, Recordings, transcripts, or quote request responses. You may disable a share link at any time.
Advertising and Analytics Partners. We may disclose Personal Information and information about your interactions with the Services to advertising and analytics partners for purposes such as measuring the effectiveness of our advertising, attributing conversions, and optimizing our advertising campaigns. This information may include contact information or identifiers, including information that has been hashed, device and browser information, advertising or attribution identifiers, and information about actions you take through the Services.
Legal Reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or government requests; enforce our agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of RemodelCam, our users, or others.
Business Transfers. We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our assets.
With Your Consent. We may disclose information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
7. Text Messages and Telephone Calls
We send a one-time verification code by text message when you verify your telephone number. We will not send marketing messages to that number without your consent.
By submitting a quote request with “Hear back faster via text” enabled, you expressly consent to receive text messages and telephone calls about your project from RemodelCam and the home improvement professionals with which we match you, at the number you provided, including by automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Canadian residents receive commercial electronic messages only with express consent. Each identifies RemodelCam and includes an unsubscribe mechanism, which we honor within ten (10) business days.
8. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account and projects, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. The retention period varies depending on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it was collected.
When you delete your account, we initiate deletion of Personal Information associated with your account. Photographs, Recordings, transcripts, designs, and other User Content associated with your account are deleted or de-identified within thirty (30) days.
We may retain certain information after account deletion where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, maintain records of quote requests and transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, or protect our legal rights. For example, we may retain your telephone number and limited account information for fraud and abuse prevention.
Information previously disclosed to home improvement professionals or other third parties at your direction may be retained by those parties in accordance with their own privacy practices and is not deleted when you delete your RemodelCam account.
Information may also remain for a limited period in backups and archival systems before being deleted in accordance with our standard backup practices.
9. Your Choices
- Projects and account: You may delete individual projects or delete your account through the App. Account deletion will result in deletion of associated Personal Information as described in Section 8.
- Share links: You may disable a share link through the Services.
- Text messages: You may reply STOP to applicable text messages to opt out.
- Device permissions: You may revoke camera, microphone, speech recognition, photo library, motion, or location access through your device settings. Some features may not work without these permissions.
- Advertising and tracking: Where applicable, you may control whether the App permits tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency controls. You may also exercise applicable rights to opt out of certain advertising-related uses or disclosures of your Personal Information through the methods we make available in the Services or by contacting us.
- Privacy requests: You may contact us at privacy@remodelcam.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information.
